The Value of Values in Life and Business

So in a previous blog, I talked about values clarification: what values are and what they do for business.
I’m not so sure it was clear that if you have clear and certain values for living, they will often follow you into business. As Annie Lennox states above, her values give her life meaning.
Could having a clear set of values give your life greater meaning as well?
The answer is a resounding ‘Yes!’ - if you take the time to sort out your top values - in priority order, and are clear that the values you have picked represent your beliefs and heart and soul values.
The thing is, if you have clear and certain values that are in tune with your heart and your soul, you are so much more likely to find yourself in the business and the work that will feed your soul.
Clear values clear out the clutter in your subconscious!
So take the time to sit down, find a random list of personal life values online, select your top 10, then winnow them down to your top 5. Put them away for a few days, then go back to them and see whether they still touch your heart and soul.
If you have already chosen some values, again, review them, prioritize them according to those that are your top most important values, and then set them aside for a few day. Go back then and re-evaluate them.
Following this process, you may well feel more grounded, more centered, and more prepared to take on the world and all it throws at you.
Having sorted out what is most important to you in your life, you will find yourself energized, more focused, and that decisions are so much easier to make.
